Cheap calls to
India from
landlines FAQ |
How do I use an access number ? |
Only two simple steps to start calling
instantly. Choose your destination.
Dial the access number then your full destination number including the
country code
e.g. for India at 0.5p/min dial 08433750011 then 0091 XX XX XX XX
|
Do I need to register or open an account ? |
No, there is no account to open, no extra charges, no other bills to pay
and you don't need a credit card either. We offer cheap calls instantly.
All you need to do is dial the correct access
number then dial your international destination & you are connected. You
pay your provider for calling the original access number. |
Are there any hidden costs ? |
We will not charge you any additional fee for
using our cheap international call
service to India. The price you see is the price you will pay via
BT. If you use another provider or call from your mobile you should
check the rate your provider charges before you make a call through our
service. |
How do I pay for cheap calls to India ? |
You do not pay us, you pay your provider for
the 0844 or 0871 call. Your usual service
provider will charge you their normal call set-up fee. BT charges a
13.87p call set up fee for each call made. (Price updated on 02/04/2014).
Calls made from mobiles and other service providers may differ so please
check with your provider before making a call if you are unsure. |
How are charges calculated ? |
Your usual service provider will charge you our advertised pence per
minute. Calls are charged from time of connection to the service,
not the moment the call is answered at the other end. Please hang
up after a short time if your call is engaged or unanswered.
|
Why was I charged by my service provider for a call
to India ? |
Does the full international destination number show on your telephone
bill? If it does show, the only way this can
happen is if you press the green send key on your mobile after you’ve
entered the international number. We do tell
you not to do this in our user instructions. The call would have gone
through your mobile network and they will charge you for the call. |
Can I use access numbers from my mobile ? |
Yes. But please check the rates for 08- and 09-numbers with your mobile
provider. Depending on your calling plan, certain access numbers can be
useful for you to make cheap or even free international phone calls from
your mobile. We would advise using our SMS
top-up service. |
Can I use an access number if
I use other than BT service provider ? |
Yes you can, but if you use another provider
or call from your landline you should check
the rate your provider charges before you make a call through our
service. |
An access number for my destination is 09; are
these expensive ? |
09 numbers are classified as premium rate; however prices for premium
rate numbers vary enormously depending on which number you are ringing.
Premium rate number charges start from as little as 5p/min and can be
less than your normal international rate - this means we can offer the
call to you for less! |
Can I use my access number from a payphone
? |
Our access numbers are accessible from any UK phone, including
payphones. However, be aware that calls from payphones could be
surcharged and may cost more than the price stated on this website. |
Why don't I get calls to your access numbers included in my
'inclusive' minutes ? |
Many providers only include calls to geographic or mobile destinations
within any 'inclusive' minutes - numbers generally beginning 01, 02, 03
and 07 - as such numbers like our access numbers are excluded and will
be charged like any destinations that are not part of the package that
you have arranged with your provider. It is always best to check the
rate that your provider charges before you call. |
Are
your services suitable for calling non-standard phone numbers
? |
Our services are not suitable for calling non-standard or non-geographic
phone numbers (e.g. national or international freephone numbers,
personal numbers, premium numbers or other audio text services) and if
such calls are made, they may fail, disconnect or will be charged at
rates substantially above the prices advertised. |
